Aro/Michael Sheen discussed how playing a grubby grungy werewolf in Underworld, not once, not twice, but 3x gave him true Vampire envy. Plus they dress better
Definitely prefer him as Aro!! Though I really liked him as Lucian too (and felt really sorry for Luci losing his love ... I bet if it was Aro he would not have hurt Sonja :*)
Michael's right - Vampires have better dress sense and are way better looking ;) Especially with long black hair, pale silvery faces and big gorgeous red eyes ;)
Aro and Carlisle are my two all time faves in the Twilight Saga. I *adore* Aro's peppi-ness and his childlike wonder, with his dangerous streak, and the interviewer had it wrong, Aro didn't kill an entire village, they were a few tourists lead into the Volturi's chambers (of which he would have fed on one or two)... He's a vampire, he needs to eat, even if he would prefer not to kill, you could see he was deeply touched by Bella and Edward's love and he was sad because he desperately wanted someone to love him like that :) Maybe he'll come and acquire me? ;)
I think Aro (and the Volturi) do abuse their power somewhat, however I believe it's because Aro's scared that someone will hurt him (in many ways he is like a frightened child), and perhaps he can learn to use his power wisely )without losing that gorgeous, peppy, unpredictable and childlike disposition of his :) After all, he really did want peace in the end :) and as he says, he loves happy endings :)
