And the role of Renesmee goes to...

Well ok it's not official yet, but this young girl, Kayla, has already cast for the role of Renesmee TWICE (meaning she's tried out once and has been back for more interviews). Her brother has also had two castings already this month for other movies since signing with MMG.

Model Management group posted this picture and quote on their Facebook
Attached is a photo of Kayla and Daniel D. ... Kayla is the little girl up for the role of Bella's daughter in the new film in the Twilight Sage: Breaking Dawn. Kayla is pictured with her adorable brother Daniel who has already had two castings since signing with us this month! Daniel will be submitting a video audition for a major Paramount film! Good Luck guys!!!!

This has also been announced on a blog for JRPMontreal, a group who trains and assists models and other talent

Kayla DiVenere (MMG), one of our students here at JRP Montreal, was recently featured on hollywoodlife.com ! She is up for the role of Bella’s daughter in the new film of the Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn!! Kayla has been training in our Montreal offices with Patrizio Sanzari. We are very proud of her and wish her the best of luck!

Kayla is shown here with her brother Daniel. This family makes gorgeous kids! Her full name is Kayla Rene Divenere

Kayla D is reported by MMG as being 6 years old. Is she too old for the role?

  1. I think she actually looks like what I was thinking!!! Which doesn't happen much when I see the actors they pick. But if she hasn't ever been in anything.... I'm don't want a craptastic actor ruining the best book!

  2. I know, I kinda agree. She looks like I imagined, although maybe a little bit too old? Clint mentioned they'll need to make her hair a BIT redder, and of course curly, but other pictures seem to show that her hair easily curls. Her eyes ARE perfect.
I might be pleased with this!

  3. I THINK SHE WOULD BE GREAT FOR THE PART AND BOY DOES SHE HAVE THE EYES TO GO WITH IT . AND IF SHE IS AS GOOD AS THEY SAY SHE IS WELL THEN WATCH OUT ITS GOING TO BE A GREAT BREAKING DAWN YOOOOOOOOO

  4. She seems a bit old, but I think it would be difficult for them to cast a younger child who could pull off the role of Renesmee. She has to be able to speak clearly and fluently. I'd rather them cast someone a bit older than she should be rather than cast a four year old who can't pull it off anyways.
